Nobody knows

Noemi’s education and lifestyle have always centered around an insatiable curiosity while labored with resiliency. She is determined to continue a never-ending journey for a balanced life, championing an institutionalized educational system while surviving a racist and misogynistic landscape as a first-generation Chicana. The battle of surviving in a capitalistic environment too often transforms one into a stoic nature; guided by the principles of intuition, self-growth and community, Noemi strives to embody the expression “laugh now, cry later.” However, she pivots the narrative to embrace the present emotion in an otherwise disconnected society to “cry now, laugh later,” refusing to succumb to a suppressed, false facade of the too familiar “chillona pero chingona.” Noemi advocates to prioritize oneself, honoring first our ever-fleeting emotions to dismantle oppression and laughing about it later—”chillona pero chistosa.”

Developing With a Passion While Exploring The World.

Transformation is the root of any art form, constructing and deconstructing thoughts and concepts through various mediums. Often, to fully develop an idea we delve deep to converge whatever and however many mediums, forms or outlets can best and most beautifully articulate our message into a cohesive, concise piece. For this, an artist is almost destined to be a jack of all trades but master of none

As a creative, I’ve managed to learn fashion construction, graphic design, art direction, video editing, illustration and many, many miscellaneous niches all in hopes to complete and execute one idea. In turn, this everlasting learning becomes more than a lifestyle, it’s a liberation: to be continuously influenced, inspired, and educated, forever evolving.

I am no less susceptible than any creator: I am also vulnerable to the wonders of the worlds inside and outside of myself. Being an academic student since the age of three, I strive to continuously be a creative multidisciplinary and multifaceted master of one-self. It is important to understand oneself in order relate to and transform the complexities of our communities for collective growth. Transformation is the root of any creation, of any artist. Anyone can transform. As a living testimonial, here I document my evolution through my educational career to showcase my abilities, accomplishments and disappointments while sharing resources to support and promote the transformation of all other aspiring artists and students of life.
